QUANTUM EFFECTS IN BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS WORKSHOP, 2024
HUST,WuHan,China,3-7 June 2024
We invite researchers and industry experts, such as quantum physicists, biologists, biophysicists, biochemists, and physical chemists, to communicate their latest, most exciting research findings in quantum biology.
More information about the previous conferences can be found in the following links: http://www.quebs.org/
Overview
QuEBS is an international and premier conference for researchers in the field of quantum biology to present and exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas in a highly-stimulating and non-intimidating environment. QuEBS annual workshops, which been held since the first in 2009, are dedicating to bringing together researchers in the emerging exciting science of quantum biology. QuEBS 2024 is the 14th workshop on quantum effects in biological systems. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and universities worldwide.
Quantum biology focuses on identifying quantum phenomena in biological systems and developing quantum methodologies for biology. The field includes but is not limited to, quantum coherent effects in photosynthetic light harvesting, radical-pair mechanism of biological magnetic sensing, tunneling effects in olfaction, enzymes or DNA, as well as quantum-level simulations of biomolecular systems. The research of quantum biology will involve multidisciplinary efforts, requiring the cooperation of researchers with cross-disciplinary backgrounds in physics, chemistry, biology, material sciences, and quantum information science. QuEBS 2024 aims to bring together experts from physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and other disciplines whose research contributes to quantum biology. We also welcome anyone who is interested in discovering more about the first new science of the 20th century and exploring its potential for radically transforming our understanding of the remarkable phenomenon of life as well as developing new quantum-level tools for medicine, biotechnology, biosensing, diagnostics and pharmacology.
QuEBS will be held in Wuhan, the hero city of China during the Covid 19 pandemic with stunning landscape of lake and river views. Wuhan is a lively modern city but with ancient roots and historical building such as the Yellow Crane Tower, or Huanghe Lou in Chinese, which dates back to the Three Kingdoms period (220-280) of Chinese history. We look forward to welcoming you, the world leaders and young practitioners of quantum biology to our great city and workshop.
